SPOILER: Orphan Black follows outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleon Sarah. After witnessing a woman's suicide, Sarah assumes the stranger's identity - who happens to look just like her. Expecting to solve all her problems by cleaning out the dead woman's savings, Sarah is instead thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery as she realizes the dizzying truth - she and the dead woman are clones. As Sarah searches for answers, she discovers the chilling fact that there are more people like her out there - genetically identical individuals who were planted in unsuspecting birth parents and nurtured in completely different circumstances. With no idea who created the clones, she'll need to discover the reason in a hurry as an assassin is killing them one by one.

Simply put, one of the finest shows ever produced in Canada.

Tatiana Maslany deserves so many accolades for playing such a wide range of characters in such a convincing and fully realised fashion. Her portrayal of the various members of the "Clone Club" is such an amazing feat that few actors could pull off in the manner she has. It is a CRIME that she doesn't have an Emmy by this point.

Jordan Gavaris is a phenomenal young actor, giving a glimpse into the life of a fleshed out, expressive, and utterly endearing gay character who is not stereotypical in any capacity.

The extended cast members are just as compelling: Maria Doyle Kennedy's character has come full circle in 4 seasons, while Kevin Hanchard is an absolute riot as the husband of one of the clones. Evelyne Brochu has been a surprise as well, as the love interest of one of the most pivotal clones.

In closing, Orphan Black is an unexpected pleasure that continues to hold your attention, even with a notably weak 3rd Season that was redeemed in the 4th. The 5th Season will be the last, and we will all be lesser for it.

It's really no surprise that Tatiana hasn't won an Emmy. Those are politically oriented, meaning the person has to work for the right production company on the right network. This is why there are legends in Hollywood who have been nominated many times but never won. That's why the People's Choice award is one of the most honored awards. That award is given by viewers and not Hollywood bigwigs.
