I truly think this show will hit its stride. Frank Dellane is proving to be an actor to watch, and a breakout star in the making. Too bad Alicia Debnam-Carey is such a disappointment after her strong character development in The 100.
The rest of the cast is utterly forgettable. The tension is forced. The writing is trite, with a few good moments. The character of Strand would be effective, if the delivery wasn't so "jive".
Simply put, the idea of a bunch of Californians trying to live after a zombie apocalypse just isn't that interesting when you have such a milquetoast group of people that you are suppose to "care about". I think the best writing has been when the family isn't together in the same place.
